Features

Amorphous alloy is a new and high-tech material having been developed since 1960'. A new technology of rapid quenching at a cooling rate of a million degrees per second is adopted. The molten metal is rapidly quenched to alloy ribbons with the thickness of about 30 micro-meter and its micro-structure is completely different from the traditional alloy material, hence it is a revolution to the traditional metallurgical process and metal material science. Amorphous and nanocrystalline alloy are characterized by their unique magnetic performance, high strength, high hardness and wear-resistance, good toughness, corrosion resistance, high resistivity and coefficient of electromechanical coupling, high thermal conductivity and catalytic properties, etc. They are green and environment friendly functional materials with high efficiency and energy saving merit.

Amorphous and nanocrystalline core components are now replacing those of traditional soft magnetic material such as silicon steel, permalloy and ferrite in the uses of transformer, distribution current transformer, reactor, switched mode power supplies, ground fault interrupters and inductors. Components made of amorphous or nanocrystalline alloys have the advantages of small volume, high efficiency and saving energy. The products introduced here are producted at Advanced Technology & Materials Co., Ltd. of National Amorphous and Nanocrytalline Alloy Engineering Research Centre in China.
